Kim Jowell, President, Hillsborough Education Foundation
Kim Jowell joined Hillsborough Education Foundation as President in March 2017. www.EducationFoundation.com Prior to joining the Foundation she worked with Girl Scouts of USA. She served as CEO for the West Central Florida Council that served over 21,000 girls in 8 counties before she was recruited by the national office to serve as a Council Leadership Strategist where she worked across the nation with CEOs and councils to reach higher performance and impact.
Kim has a track record of success leading diverse not-for-profits. She is a proven leader in organizational assessment, creating growth models, and producing turnaround results.
Kim is a graduate of the Leadership St. Pete class of 2006 and served as a planning committee member for three years. She participated in Community Foundation of Tampa Bay’s Nonprofit CEO Leadership Development program.
Kim holds a B.A. Degree in Criminology and a minor in Public Administration from St. Leo University.
Kim is also a certified crisis responder who has served on national teams; she was recognized for crisis work at Ground Zero, post 9/11.
